Astro Spectra 2.5 khz problem

Post by tgo »

I am trying to program my Astro Spectra ser D04KKH9PW7AN with a couple of the new narrow-spaced channels. The software option is G48; radio software version, 8.15.xx.xx; DSP s/w ver I06.04.09; Codeplug ver 0006; Flashcode 5990010018000. I have just replaced the RF board with the new, "K" suffix, narrowband capable version and aligned.
I have set the TX deviation and spacing in "other options" in the v8.50 RSS to the appropriate values.
I still get the message, "this radio not capable of 2.5 khz channel spacing," when attempting to write.
Do I need a firmware flash, or some other change?

Thanks guys.
