Is the mic interchangeable?

Post by RadioNut »

I have a Saber vehicle adapter with the mic that has a display/buttons on it, can I use this mic with the ASTRO Saber vehicle adapter? I thought I read somewhere that it can be used on both types of vehicle adapters. It would be nice to be able to change zones without having to release the radio.

Thanks.

No it won't work for the Astro Saber. It will work for the Saber 1-3 and System Saber.

*bumpity bump*
You can use it on an Astro Vehicular Adapter if the radio being used is a conventional Saber or Systems Saber. It won't display anything with an Astro Saber.

Some have said that the PTT and RAT buttons will still work with an Astro Saber, but on the setup I tried not even that worked.
