Motorola Astro Flash Question

Post by laramiecountyCERT »

I have a T99DX+086W_ASTRO that I was curious as to if it can be flashed for APCO-25 9600 Baud control channel? If you can let me know what it would take and if it can be done.
Thanks

Short answer, no.

Another short answer, check to see if WyDOT would allow your agency on the system first.

Ok the other raidio that I have is this:
Model number is T99DX+099W Astro ID Model number when reading the radios is T04KLH9PW9AN, range is 146-174 MHz, it has 2.5 Spacing with a 1 Meg Vocon, the flash code when reading the radio is 540001-040000-0 which breaks down to Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 digital operation, H14/G114 Digital ID Display, H35/G48 Conventional operation, H868/W969, Q352 soft ID

My customer is wanting to be able to be APCO-25 compliant and keeps asking what he thinks I should get him and I told him to get a scanner. So I am going to ask if this radio will fit the bill for the system.

Thanks

PJ,
this one is going to be more than Just WYDOT for the new system. its going to be several frequencies other than just the WYOLink system. I have another radio that will fit the bill I think and posted it to the other topic I was on.
If you see that one let me know if it will work.
Thanks

Astro Spectras (and Astro Sabers/XTS3Ks) do not support Astro25 9600 trunking on anything besides 800mhz. If you need OBT Astro25 9600 trunking, you'll need an Astro25 radio.
