Motorola S-1347/8 Power Supply

Post by ka1nvz »

Does anyone have a manual or schematic for a S-1347D or S-1348D, DC bench power supply. I am mainly looking for the value of the of the 3 pots for the 2, 10 and 20 volt ranges and the value of the common resistor that feeds the wiper on all 3 pots. There are also 2, TO-220 type transistors and I looking for the number on each one so I can do a NTE cross reference on them.

Thank You

What radios do you own?: What's a radio?

I haven't worked on an S1347 in years & unfortunately I don't have the manual, however about 95% of the problems I saw were caused by ( in no particular order) 1) bad pass transistors 2) bad regulator IC or 3) an open spot on one of the voltage adjustment pots (usually causes the 47 ohm resistor to burn open). The ganged pot was very easily contaminated by the resistor burning so a good cleaning with a tuner cleaner may bring it back to life.

I have a manual for a S1360A which is a single output 5-18 VDC, 3-amp

I can scan/e-mail. it may have some clues in it for you.

I see there was one on Ebay

I just looked through the S1360 manual and it probably won't help, but happy to send it anyways. PM me a e-mail address.
