Motorola Astro Saber to MX-350 Retrofit

Post by 2wayfreq »

Hey,
I thought I would throw a wild idea I had out there. I have an idea to take an old (non-working) MX-350 or similar long chassis MX series and custom retrofit an Astro saber RF board, Channel/Volume switch assembly (Or adapt to the MX switch assembly) and non-display speaker housing into the MX. Option buttons would be an issue though. I have not done the physical measurements so, not sure if fitting it would actually be feasible.
I just think it would blow some minds to hear P25 Audio coming from an old MX. 8)
