HT1250 Firmware Upgrade Issue

Post by nick.dejohn »

I am trying to upgrade an HT1250 VHF firmware. The firmware is already in the 5 version but not to the latest. I have all factory cables and I made my own flash adapter. I have done portables before and I have never had an issue, until today. The radio goes into the bootstrap mode with no problems and the Progress screen comes up telling me that the firmware is upgrading. It gets to about 99% and then an error screen comes up telling me that I have to start over. The error screen says the following:

"An error occurred while updating the radio. Please press the OK button to retry or press the CANCEL button to cancel the programming.
WARNING!
Canceling at this point will leave the radio inoperable."

Any ideas what I can do to get this to finish and take the firmware?

Thanks,
Nick

All set. Figured it out. Don't know what I did differently but I got it to work.

I had a NIB HT1250 do the same thing. It was 5.08 I was updating to 5.14.03. It was OK but I was sick to my stomach till I just took it off the cable and it booted up. A CDM1550 had fail about month before and it is dead.
