How to convert a trunking 7580 to conventional

Post by k5jg »

Am looking for the procedure/firmware for converting an XPR7580 from trunking to conventional and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

I've does this in the past with a couple of 6580's, but have been unable to find anything on the Motorola site to convert the 7500-series.

Thanks.

The XPR7580 does not support 3600 baud trunking. It ships from the factory DMR conventional and analog ready. The only trunking formats the XPR7580 supports is, Motorola's proprietary Capacity Plus, Linked Capacity Plus and Connect Plus. The XPR6580 which is now discontinued; shipped in a couple of different formats. One was a 3600 baud trunking radio and the other as a DMR conventional radio. 73 and good luck! GARY
