XPR 5550 Day/Night mode

Greetings everyone.
I don't think this is possible but I will ask, is there a way to activate the Day/Night mode from the rear accessory connector?
What I would like to do is the radio be in Day mode typically, however when I turn the headlights on the vehicle, the XPR automatically switches to Night Mode.
Similar to the way Ignition Sense works for turning the radio on with the key switch. I could get real greedy an hope for a way to control the brightness as I control the brightness on the car instrument panel, but a simple Day/Night option would suffice.
