PTT tones

Post by Thomas »

Is there any way to modify the PTT tones on the XPR5550 and 7550? I cannot find it if it's even an option so I ask. My CS750 and Hytera have this option to create custom tones and apply it to PTT.

Nope, can only be turned on or off. It is neat that the other manufacturers allow it but Motorola does not.

I wish this was an option. I'd very much like to have the original trunking talk permit tones rather than that annoying musical sequence. I'm 99% sure the reason this is this way is brand recognition.
