MTR2000 to MTR3000 upgrade

Postby 515 » Wed Apr 05, 2017 8:32 pm

I'm aware of the T2003A upgrade kit consisting of the exciter, receiver, control module, and front panel. But I'm not clear on which PA's are compatible with TRBO. Can the X540 MTR2000 100 watt UHF PA work with TRBO when the T2003A upgrade kit is used, or does it need to be an X340MT PA? It's the 435-470 MHz range I'm interested in, if it makes a difference.

Anything else I should know about the MTR2000 to MTR3000 upgrade?

You can reuse the same PA but you aren't going to get more power out of it than you could when it was a 2k
