Early Astro Saber / AVA question...

Post by Smac61 »

I have a pre 1994 Astro Saber (310AAGxxxx / 101008-000000-8 / R07.00.01 / N07.03.06) seeing as the NTN7227x clearly states:

"This adapter works with ASTRO Digital SABER, SABER, and Systems SABER radios manufactured on or after September 1, 1994. These radios can be identified by their serial numbers: the fifth character (year) must be "U" (1994) or later ("V" [1995], "W" [1996], etc.). If manufactured in 1994, the sixth character (the month) must be "S" or "T" (September) or later ("U" or "V" [October], etc.)."

What is required to use the NTN7227x vehicle adaptor on this radio? Is it just a flash upgrade (which may already have been done see above) or is it something more? I do plan on upgrading the flash to R07.71.xx / N08.03.05 in the very near future...

Thanks,
Sean

Doh! 310AAGxxx makes it early 2000 production.

Sorry, perhaps someone else could use the answer...
