Have a model 1 (no display) and i can't for the life of me get the LED to blink green when scanning or get the radio to emit the Scan Tone to notify the user that scan is enabled.
I have an xts5000 model 1 that both the LED and the alert tone works with no issues. Am i missing something? I have tones enabled in CPS.
There is really no way of telling if this is in SCAN mode or not.

A little bit more digging and it appears the Scan Alert Tone requires firmware R10 or higher. This unit has R8. Does anybody have a legit firmware update they could part with
