XTS2250 in the US
I have an opportunity to get an XTS2250, but since I live in the US and it's a Latin America radio, I'm just curious if it's legal for me to use here? From what I've found, it's pretty much the same as a 2500, so would that cause issues? Think I'd be good buying it and then putting a 2500 label on it?

- What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000
Re: XTS2250 in the US
If the radio has an FCC ID number on the rear tag, it's 100 percent legal to use for part 90 use. For HAM use, it does not matter, as hams can use any equipment they wish, as they are responsible for the proper technical operation of their station.
The 2250 is electrically identical to the 2500. Just a nameplate is the only physical difference.

I'd leave the 2250 label on it. Kind of a neat one-off rarity!
