XTL5000 Receive

Postby kn6ted » Sat Sep 26, 2015 6:49 pm

Hi folks! I was hoping some people more knowledgeable than I may be able to give me a hand with an issue I have with an XTL5000 I just purchased. I've got it most of the way programmed up, but am having issues with the receive.

The first issue, is that when someone unkeys, the busy light stays on. I have shut off the "HUB defeats PL" option, but that didn't seem to help. It will only go off when either I transmit, or change channels.

The other issue I'm having is it seems like it leaves the receive open just a tad bit too long, and when the repeater or other party unkeys, you get a bit more static than is standard. I've tried tightening up the squelch to no avail.

Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated!
