APX bank charger current draw
Can anyone tell me how large of an inverter I need to run an Impress 6 unit bank charger? I have a customer who wants one installed in a fire truck but Motorola will not tell me how much current it draws.

They won't give you information that's provided on the spec sheet?

Maybe I missed something, but I don't see anything on the spec sheet about the max AC current draw.
Re: APX bank charger current draw
Woops, seemed they updated it
Each shoe will pull a maximum of 1.5 amps at ~13.8VDC. That's about 125 watts. With overhead for the fans and the like, I would venture a guess that 2 amps at 110VAC should be plenty sufficient

I'm guessing your customer is aware that APX vehicular chargers exist, but wants something that will calibrate the batteries?
Whatever you get, make sure it outputs pure sine wave. The switching power supply in the bank charger is not going to be happy with square-wave psuedo-AC from a cheap inverter.
