Battery Questions

Post by fchrist16 »

Okay, so I'm finally looking into the APX series for my personal use. I have 3 XTS5000's and a WPLN1427AR (I might have this number transposed as the gang charger is not next to me) V3.4 Gang Charger. I know with the proper inserts an APX radio can charge in the XTS Gang Chargers, my question is this...

Does the 1427AR V3.4 qualify for use with APX Series and the proper insert (NNTN7686), or do I have to get a whole new gang charger??

You're fine with that charger at impres v3.40. Just don't put any impres "2" batteries in it.

Thanks! It seemed like I was from everything I read, I just wanted to double check with the handy crew at Batlabs. :)

Why is that? I don't see anything in the firmware notes about that.

It's not going to break anything but you'd not be getting the most out of them.

True. Charging an IMPRES2 battery exclusively in a IMPRES2 charger extends battery capacity warranty by 6-months to 2-years.
