Looks like APX firmware version R15.10.00 was released by Motorola on MOL as of January 19, 2017.

I have installed the firmware in two APX 7000 portables, seems to work fine as best I can tell.

It is an update for all models in a .BBF file format.

The Release Notes are chock full of new feature support and fixes. The only new products supported by this release is the APX8500. This release also now supports the Si500 video RSM.

***Big Note***

Got an MTN this morning stating to update all APX8000 and APX6000 (BN Models) if used on mulit-site trunking due to firmware defect

Units would show OUT OF RANGE or NO COMMS if flashed with firmware between 14.00.00 and 15.00.00

Need 15.00.01 or higher to resolve

I just blasted a couple of radios this morning & will post back if there are any issues. Really wish we could get a 7.17 system upgrade so we could play with those features... over-the-air call list updating would be a Godsend.

They still haven't resolved the issue which began with the first 15 firmware update which the radio affiliates over and over every few seconds when multi system scan is enabled, it never stops affiliating. I've opened a case and working with Motorola to resolve the issue.

Have the same issue here. Waiting for a fix..

Hasn't that always been the case tho? None of the systems around me permit cross-system scanning for that very reason.

Apparently i was the second person to open a case with Motorola in reference to this issue, hopefully they get it resolved in the next update. I didn't notice the issue until R15.

No. It didn't start until ver 15 firmware. At least it didn't happen prior to that for me.

Firmware R15.12.00 should be released anytime now which is supposed to fix the Multi Scan issue.

I hope they do fix the Multi Scan issue

I just tested R15.12.00 and can confirm it fixed the Multi System Scan issue. I'm not sure about the yellow ENC traffic LED issue, if I get a few today i'll check it out.

No 15.12.00 on my MOL yet, looking forward to it.

That's correct, it should be on MOL any day now. They sent it to the customers with open cases to fix some of the current issues.

That's pretty much what I had expected - thank you for the heads up. And I'm a lucky lucky dog, since we're getting 15.12.00 before we have a project that requires multi-system scanning...

No problem. I don't think we will doing updates for a while with anything newer than 15.12.00 without lots of testing on some test radios, especially since you can't roll back to an older version.

Since there is no telling when 15.12.00 is going to be released is there any way to go back to V14 something its kiling my battery

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Rolling back firmware in an APX radio takes an engineer-level software tool none of us will ever possess, which is useless without a login and a connection back to the mothership anyway.

Have they fixed the non affiliate scan trying to affiliate yet?

Yes it's resolved. R15.12.00 is now available on MOL.
