APX8000 and Passive Scan

Post by fchrist16 »

So I'm being told differing ideas by different people. Is there a "point blank" answer to this question or is it still "under review"?

Can the APX8000 either before R15 firmware or with the newest R15.12(?) firmware handle passive scan like the XTS5000 does?

I've already invested the money and I'm starting to invest the time in working on the codeplug, before I invest more time I'd like to see if there is a definitive answer out there.

When you refer to "passive scan", do you mean the no affiliate scan that allows you to monitor a trunked system without "affiliating" with the system?

Yes. Passive scan or non-affiliate scan, whichever you prefer to use.

As long as the firmware is prior to R15.00.00 or R15.12.00 + correct?
