APX feature add / key loss

Post by otter9309 »

Will the APX with current FW maintain keys if a feature is properly added with an iButton?

If your asking should a firmware upgrade be done to a radio with 14.52 or higher host/dsp, will it hold voice keys?

Yes was the result of the last time we added Bluetooth to a radio.

Voice keys stayed intact
If the lights are out when you leave the station and then come on the second you key up, you know you have enough power.

Traffic and authentication keys are retained post-R14 whether you are doing a feature upgrade or a simple firmware refresh.
