Good morning,
A few questions if someone has the answer to.
#1 Where can you turn off the backlight on the APX 6000 screen? I know you can set it to to full brightness and lower using the Light/Flip but can it be shut off completely?
#2 is there a chart somewhere that explains all of the choices on buttons? Ie MS0, MPL, Rab 1, etc
Thanks for all of your help!
Jeff

Re: APX Programming questions
To turn off the backlight completely you have to go into:
Radio Ergonomics configurations
Radio Profiles
Default Profile (or whichever you are using)
Un-check Permanent Front Display Backlight
As far as the menu options if you look at the help file for that section it tells you what each means.
But specifically:
MS0 is MS0-MS12 is like quick access buttons for accessing different channels. Like presets on a am/fm car radio
MPL is Mutiple PL for selecting different PL settings on a conv freq.
Rab Repeater access button (preset for sending access codes)

Re: APX Programming questions
Thanks for this info but I have a follow up question on this function. In MotoTRBO this is like the OT-1 thru OT-4 button options.techtonics wrote:MS0 is MS0-MS12 is like quick access buttons for accessing different channels. Like presets on a am/fm car radio
I looked in the help file and it explains WHAT the buttons do but it does not explain WHERE you set the zone/channel you want to access. Where is that?
Thanks,
Jim
Re: APX Programming questions
You set MS0-MS12 like you set presets on an AM/FM radio as a user setting. It is done by going to the channel you want to use as the preset and then pushing and holding the button programmed as MS0 thru MS12 and holding it until it beeps. Then that button is now set that when you push it momentarily it will go to that channel. It is not set in the CPS other than to assign the MS function to the button.
