Will this increase db gain ?

Will this increase db gain ?

If i use a Laird Technologies MBC800 (Mobile to Base Station Adapter Kit) with a Laird Tech B8065CN (806-866 5dB) mobile antenna,will the base kit increase the db gain ?

Yes. You'll get 5db with the antenna if you mount it in a clear open place.

This antenna claims to have 5dB No Ground Plane 806-866.
I was trying to find out if by adding the ground plane kit,would it increase the 5db gain.

Laird typically does not publish the specs for their antennas in a meaningful way to help determine the answer. Assume 5db as published. Anything else you get will just be gravy.
