NTN9176 XTS Vehicle Charger

Post by The Comish »

Can anyone explain how the "repeater" switch on this unit works. I want to install it in my truck as a vehicle charger. Do I need a repeater for this to work? From the wiring schematic it tooks like the switch activates some type of voltage -/+? Any help on this is appreciated.

Wiring shows:

Red 12V+
Yellow 12V+ Ign
Blk 12V-
White to repeater?

If it's the charger that I'm thinking of, the 'repeater' switch turns on and off a PAC/RT or other repeater or mobile extender when the portable is removed from the charger. With the switch in the on position, the repeater, etc will turn on when the portable is removed. In the off position, it will not. This is, of course, dependent upon the system being wired appropriately.

This will not affect, in any way, the functionality as a charger.

Thanks for the explanation...I mainly want it for the charging function which I see it will do.
