Spectra PA System & Whelen

Post by fchrist16 »

Not sure if it should go here or over in the vehicle install area.

I have a Whelen SA315P that I need wired up to my PA System. Anyone have good visuals/instructions for wiring it it up?

It's a speaker... two wires. One wire to one side, one wire to the other...

Thanks again!

What precautions besides good earplugs should I take when installing it?

I wish there had been a good instruction manual out there....Anyone know of one?

Just make sure you don't place a ground on either side of the Spectra speaker wires. Doing so
will pop the audio output amp and let the smoke out.

When you say a ground you mean the power wiring ground wire?

Considering he's connecting a Moto siren box (HLN1185) to a Whelen siren speaker (SA315P), I doubt it'll be an issue...

Alright so I got the HLN1185B working for about a minute today and then went back out!

Any ideas on what might be wrong?
