Looking to put an MCX1000 in a 1997 Wrangler. Anyone have any ideas?

Is it a dash mount or a trunk mount ?

Tuffy consoles are the way to go

A Tuffy console is a good, secure way to go.

Overhead console:

Or replacement center console with a DIN-sized mounting spot:

The other option is to mount the radio way back under the dash, possible trimming the factory coin tray at the very front of the existing console.
