GP328 button is silent

Post by losangelescop »

hi all,

just bought this GP328 from ebay, the programmable button above the PTT doesn't appear to make a noise when it is pressed, not even the "nothing is programmed into this button" sound. all the other programmable buttons make these sounds. I am currently unable to test to see if the button actually works or not, so just looking for a guess as to what the prob might be at the moment. or is this a regular thing on a Waris radio?

thanks 4 all the help...........

You will need to read radio with CPS and check settings on programmable buttons in the menu. The button might be set to disabled.

Button question...

I don't know about the Waris series, but the Sabers have a
software setting for the monitor button which called "silent
monitor." It means you don't hear the standard rushing sound
when you push the button to, say, defeat the PL. You only
hear modulation if someone is on the channel.
