Hopefully I'm not being seen as daft to ask this question, but is this diagram direct to a 25 pin serial or RIB box ??

I don't see pins 6 and 8 shorted on the radio side so this will probably not work with CM200, CM300 or PM400.

Iggy's schematic, as posted, is identical to my GTF374 OEM cable, so it works with *any* CM series radio. The only function pin 8 on the mic connector *ever* carried(even with Maxtracs and GM300s) was rx handset audio, and it wasn't programmable.

Maybe I am confused. Why do I need to short pins 6 and 8 on my maxtrac cable so it will work with the CM200?

Possible that you're just looking at the RJ style connector the other way 'round. The schematic shows a 1 k resistor between pins 1 & 3.....some people on here have recommended shorting them. If you look at the plug from the other end, 1 & 3 become 6 & 8.
