What differences are there between the MT2000 & MTS2000 both being VHF & Full Keypad?

Thanks!

The MTS2000 is FLASHport capable, meaning new features can be added via special flashing software, no hardware changes required. The MT2000 is a conventional-only radio, whereas the MTS is trunking capable, with the proper flash. The MTS also can support MDC ID display, but the MT does not.

Thanks Todd. I would not need trunking, VHF Convent, so is the MDC an issue? Can you better explain the MDC ID.

Thanks!

The MTS2000, if properly flashed, can decode and display MDC1200 PTT ID packets. The MT2000 can not.

Also, the MTS is securenet encryption capable as I believe the MT is not.
