A motorola cabinet was donated to our club by local pager tech company. Model Q2631A. Has 2 identicle 'micor' assemblies with two power supplies and 2 amps coupled together by a primary secondary switch with vibrasponder reed. He called it a 450 link transimitter but said it would work as repeater. Can anyone provide any info? It also has line driver, station control, guard tone and line ptt cards in it. Any info woul dbe greatly appreciated!

Q2631 is a 450-470 MHz Micor PURC link station with DPL and 75 watt transmitter. It's mostly like regular UHF Micor base and repeater stations with some option capabilities like flat audio which were used in paging applications.

There are some special PURC manuals like 6881060E70 (Control and Application). You might ask the paging company if they still have the manuals for the station around somewhere - having the right books always makes the conversion easier.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. If no manual were to be had, where would one look. WHat is needed to convert these to repeater operation? Does the purc have a receiver?

Try one of these websites for help:

http://www.seits.org/repeater/repeater.htm

http://www.repeater-builder.com/rbtip/micorindex.html

You might be able to still get a manual from Ma'Motorola (maybe.) It'll be expensive (they always are.)
