Cellular base station antennas

Post by Josh »

I just picked up a nice (full size) Allgon Cellular base station panel antenna. I'd like to plug it into a radio and get monitoring my interests in the 900Mhz band, but, I don't have a connector that will fit the bottom- it's huge.

Does anyone have knowledge of what kind of connector it is and where I can purchase one, or one connected to a piece of co-ax with a different terminator (Like N, or PL259)?

It's probably a 7/16 DIN connector. If you find one of the cellular field techs or one of the tower companies that service these systems, they throw away a good number of these connectors on 1/2 inch Heliax cable all the time.
