My MCX100 has very poor and weak recieve quality. Is there any way I can adjust this to make it so that the recieve sounds better, and I pick up more distant siganls? The maxtrac does much better on the same antenna.

It's actually a mcx1000, my mistake. I haven't tuned the front end,the frequencies it was being used on were close to the ones I'm using.

I had to completly realign mine (MCX100). also check to see if someone put too long a screw in the radio which punctured one of the crystal filters on the main IF board.
