Can you put Alpha tags on each channel of an STX821? Just wondering thanks...

If you mean Alpha Names ! YES you can assign
a name for each channel.

It depends, if you want to have Alpha channel capability, you have to set up zones on the channel selector knob, and your channels for each zone are accessed by the keypad. Many departments find this too complex, so many opt to have each talkgroup set up as a channel knob position, which limits you to 1A, 2A, 3A, etc on the display.
