P110 GP300 Signalling
Can someone tell me briefly what this feature is all about.
Re: P110 GP300 Signalling
Well, it can be many things. 'Signalling' refers to various types of 'coding' which can accompany a voice transmission, either before or after the transmission. Signalling can be used to achieve various different things, such as PTT-ID, repeater access control, remote channel steering/mode change, etc. It can be DTMF, MDC1200, GE STAR, QCII, 5-Tone, Modat, etc. Someone may be able to help you out further if you have a more specific question in mind.Daniel Watson wrote:Can someone tell me briefly what this feature is all about.

The GP300/P110 can only do MDC1200, DTMF, DTMF/Phone (DTMF models only) and Quik Call II.wavetar wrote:Well, it can be many things. Yes, I realize that, but the tone of his question seemed to indicate he didn't know anything about signalling at all. That's why I suggested he be more specific. BTW, there are 5-tone capable GP300's out there too.Josh wrote:
