Hi, I am the proud owner of a VHF HT1000 model # H01KCC9AN3AC. No version of American rss supports it. Does anyone know what the radio is and what version rss would be required or if there is a way to use American rss.
Thanks, Elliot

If that model number IS correct, the "N" says it is a Tone Signaling radio.
Can you just "Read" the radio?

I have tried lab and 4 other American versions of rss and each says "block error" and tells me I'm using the wrong programmer so I have not read it but it works fine on the one channel thats in there so it seems like a good radio. Thanks for responding.

WHat programmer are you using. If it is not an actual RLN4008b Mot RIB, you may get errors. Check your BATTERY It's not the RSS having a problem, it is your rib if you get "wrong Programmer" instead of "codeplug too new/old".What versions of RSS and LAB are you using?

Thanks, I am really happy that there are people who take the time to help. I have other VHF and UHF HT1000s as well as MTX9000s, MT & MTS2000s and a GP1200 that all work fine with my aftermarket rib & cabel and I was able to save an srecord of this mystery radio with mtsx lab as well. This makes me think that there is alternate software for this radio, kinda like the GP300-5tone.

There's the possibility someone has dropped an MT2000 logic board into it, try reading it with the latest MTSX software, just for the hell of it.

I tried to read this mystery radio on the mtsx r06.00.00 rss. The progress bar went from 0 to 65 just fine but the error message said "codeplug too new". On the ht1000 rss versions the error message says "programmer not compatable". I looked up the model # and I think the last digit "C" stands for cenelic, whatever that means. I think it is some kind of Euro trunking. Even so, the radio works fine on the 151 MHz channel thats in there. HELP,

MTSX DOS based RSS latest version is R06.05.00 so 'codeplug too new' could be accurate when reading with R06.00.00.

You could also try MTSX CPS.

Cenelec isn't a trunking protocol. It is a European organization similar to Factory Mutual(FM)in the US which tests/sets standards for items used in potentially hazardous atmospheres (intrinsic safe and the like).

Thank you all for the info and suggestions. I'm back from the drawing board to report that my mystery radio in the HT1000 case is really a GP900. Thanks for the link. It's not a great radio for the American market. Looks like no DPL, MDC or QCII. I will see what I can get out of it. Thanks again,
Elliot
