P110 GP300 Being Ended

P110 GP300 Being Ended

I saw an article on Ebay that said, Motorola is ending support for these radios as of Jan 2005. No more sales, parts ect. Is this true? If so, would that mean these would be obsolete soon?

Yes, that is partly true, I was emailed a "Notification of Support Cancellation" By Moto as of Jan 05 they will stop "support" of the GP300, But they will still sell parts that they have in stock and they reserve the right to manufacture more if they feel there is a need for them. I can supply a pdf copy of the notice if you wish by email, it has all of the planned Cancellations for the next few years. including the GM300 as well.
