Codeplug website...

Post by Jonathan KC8RYW »

Hello.

For almost a year now, I've run the "Codeplug Super-Site" at http://thor.prohosting.com/~jonster/codeplugs/

In such time, lots of people dealt with the not-so-user-friendly hack-job design, and uploaded codeplugs. People also dealt with the directory format to look for and download codeplugs for whatever their reason.

Regretfully, I don't possess the skills to make the site what I wanted it to become.

So the bottomline is this: If someone wants to build a new codeplug website and take over mine, you can have it.

Thank you.

Hello.

I never saw anything wrong with the site, reminds me of the BBS days.
It is like DOS, it works well for the job at hand.

Thank you.

Damn. Looked like a great site, but it doesn't appear to work anymore. Nothing wrong with the directory interface IMO, nice and simple.

When I try to download a CP, I get:
"The file type you have requested () is invalid"

Yes it was a great idea and it just didnt get off the ground to up and running.

I too have had times i wanted a code plug but got invalid or there wasnt a code plug available.

Not that im saying i have the expertise to manage the site - But would really like to see it get going and usable .

I do have several code plugs that id be more than happy to email to an individual that would put them on the site and maintain .

It was and still is an excelent idea and does have a healthy need .

And i aplaud you for being inspired and smart enough to have gotten it this far.

Good Luck
