Tone Remote frequencies?

Post by ExKa|iBuR »

Hey all;

Kinda an odd request here, but... Many dispatch consoles that use tone remote signaling, upon pressing (or releasing) the PTT button, two quick beeps can be heard on the voice channel (Trunk Busy and Trunk Release, I would assume).

Anyway, does anyone know the frequencies associated with these? I'm trying to make a sound effect with CoolEdit.

Thanks!

http://www.midians.com/pdf/tone_signaling.pdf

This has it on page 6 (on my copy).

If you go to midians.com you can e-mail or call them up and get a really nice paper wall chart of the same thing.

What radios do you own?: Harris XL200M. XPR7550E, NX300

If it's a /\/\ TRC, the 2 tones should be 2175 hz and 1950 hz, high level guard tone and F1 TX tone. Low level guard tone keeps the TX keyed.
