OT - CDPD Modem Replacement issues

I'm using an AirLink Raven CDPD modem for wireless data. Verizon is discontinuing AMPS Based CDPD in December of 2005 in my market. Before I spent $500 + on a new modem, I want to make sure it's going to work.

Here's the problem: Verizon issued static IP's to the original CDPD modems. The new ones are dynamic IP. Presents a bit of a security problem as the terminal application are not set up to for this. Any ideas?
