These roofing contractors are now officially on my sh!t list. I was standing around in the parking lot when I happened to notice something wrong with the antenna on the roof of the firehouse. I couldn't tell what it attached to the antenna from the ground, even with binoculars. I had to get a damn ladder and go all the way up to the roof. It turns out the damn contractors working on the roof for the addition needed a place to hang their nails for the nail gun.

eBay at it's finest:
Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"
I went up to visit one of my rooftop antennas once, only to find the ground plane radials all covered with mysterious hardened black crud.
I eventually figured out that there had been roofing work, and the roofers had been using the radials to puncture the seals on their tubes of caulk and sealant.

Hmmmm. That is a Radio Schmack Discone antenna, with the Late
model 6 Meter whip on top. I have one of those also. Real Flat SWR.
A nice Antenna because it is good on all bands.
