What LEDs do you claim cut through tint so well?
I've seen two different brands of LED lights that when on in the day, you cannot even tell they are on unless you really look. Even then they are worthless to even have on. These were red sho-me slimlight and some no brand red/white but very bright without tint in front of them.
So what specific make, model, color LEDs are you guys saying cut through tint better than strobes?

I guess I should ask how dark your tint is as well.
I've seen the Talon (dual blue) and red predator 1s as well as both slimlighters and I must say I'd go with the predators myself. Though the Talon was my first "love".
Does anyone also know the specs of the leds in todays warning lights like their mcd (millicandela) ratings?
I just bought some 6000mcd red leds off ebay to make my own just for fun.

Believe it or not, the old style slimlighter blows right through the factory tint on my Ranger.... A lot more so than the strobes (22.5 watts per head).
I haven't tried the TIR or Linear LED behind tint.

Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

LED's
Adam,
I have factory tint on my ford explorer and have a led-x narrow stick and dual r/b led's below it and it is unnoticable until turned on. Then you have to watch out they will blind you. IF you would like some photos let me know and I will shoot some for you and send them. I get all kinds of complements on the install. I have done several other vehicles for other guys and the worst I have seen is a Tahoe back window and they shoot right through that to. Most of the show me leds are not powerfull enough to penetrate the dark.

I'd love to see some pics, motsaber.
I won some leds on eBay, no one bid so I got them for a penny + $5 shipping from Hong Kong.
They are 5000mcd (milicandela) leds I thought I'd toy with. I made an led panel to backlight a friends switchbox legends and it looks great.
Does anyone know the mcd ratings on some of the leds in the popular led warning lights out there today?
I do know that 3000mcd in red is not even bright enough to catch attention through the blue windshield tint above the AS1 line.
