Mixing CCII and CCII+... Can it be done?

Post by ffhoov »

Hello,

I have a Centracom II console working fine as it is now. I have enough equipment to add another operater position with Centracom II+ hardware. My question is, will the CCII and the CCII+ hardware play together with the same BIM's or does the whole system need to be one or the other? This is one of those deals where the extra position isn't really needed but since I have the parts, it would be nice to make it work if possible. Thanks for your help!

If you add a Plus op to the system you need to replace the existing position's OMI with a TOMI/AEI pair. All op cards in any Centracom II / Plus / Gold must be the same, i.e. all OMI, all TOMI, or all COIM.

On Plus and Gold systems, however, you can have both button & LED and CRT operator positions.

That's what I would have guessed. Thanks.
