XTS 3k III Umute Problem

Post by mtr12222 »

This is an odd one...

XTS 3k III VHF is not unmuting for radio traffic on frequency unless the radio has just been keyed. This occurs on both a repeaterized frequency and its direct pair. The radio hits the repeater and I get a squelch tail and can hear traffic that occurs about 3 seconds after my dekey but then the radio goes deaf. If I use the monitor button the traffic is received. The recieve PL is correct. Any ideas, I can't really firgure this one out.

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

You squelch level may be too high. Look under the personality screens, and bring the level down

i know this post is old, but i had the same problem on my xts3000 M3 i just got. Turns out, that when i turned the MDC for each personality i was having problems with, it unmuted properly. Why this happened i do not know, but i would like to know so i can turn MDC back on since we use it at work to our Security Guards if the hit the EMER button.
