Doug,

I can see your point about "drooling" if you are referring to how cool these Motorola radios are. However, this pricing is nothing to write home about. I did some random checks. For instance, their duplexer price for the Quantar is a 12% discount. Their XTL5000 and XTS5000 series are discounted about 12 to 15% from the current 4Q04 list prices. Motorola typicaly gives a 9% discount to large companies, and they give up to 15% to big agencies. The highest discount I ever saw was with the old Bell Sytem, who enjoyed a 26% discount across the board (excluding ASTRO gear, of course). Many of the items in your 44 page "Project Hoosier" were not discounted at all, such as the KVL 3000+ which is at list price. Nevertheless, its a nice guide to thumb through, if nothing else to have thumbnails of the various radios, etc.
