Hi - can anyone tell me if all astro spectras will decode MDC1200 ids on incomming calls - or will only an radio with the right flashcode do that?
I have an MTS2000 that does it.

An Astro Spectra without the MDC ID Decode option will not decode MDC1200. You will need to get the radio flash upgraded.

Costs around $50ish last I heard...no more than $100. For MDC it will decode the ID number only (no aliasing). It will decode the ASTRO ID (number only), and if a radio is transmitting an ASTRO Soft ID, it will display the Alphanumberic's if the other radio is transmitting one, but again, no aliasing like the HT1250's and the like.

Ok - i thought that all astro spectras would decode MDC1200 - i can see that if the primary(as it is for me) to have the possibility to see ids on who is calling it is much easier and cheaper to go for the CDM or HT 1250/1550. I have of cause heard of an unic MDC 1200 display that should look like an telephone - but also heatd that it is very expensive.

My Astro Spectra decodes private call ID's only. Is that the only capability or am I missing something?

Any help?
