ASTRO Spectra DEK's are they specific to the ASTRO line???

Are the Direct Entry Keypads DEK's special for ASTRO Spectra radios. Can I use a DEK from an analog Spectra on a ASTRO Spectra?????

Yes. Be aware that some DEKs, intedned for lights etc, are just switch boxes. Also check your mounting hardware so that you have the right brackets for your head.

The DEK is/should be the same for the analog and digital Spectra, since the serial bus is the same.

The Aux. switch panel, or "Wildcard" box, looks like a DEK but it is not...it uses 6 on/off and 2 momentary switches to control relays.

I have tried a spectra DEK on my W7 Astro and it would not work, slapped in a new Astro DEK (I believe HLN1241, I would have to check) and it worked fine.
