XTS5000 - MDC Encode/Decode

Post by RADIO43 »

Group,

Could someone with a ALPHA XTS5000 with the 123abc serial number, tell me if it does MDC Encode/Decode? I want to make sure that it will show the transmitting radio's MDC ID on the screen. This is for the radio's with the 100001-000000-7 flash, HOst 02.20.02, & DSP R02.02.00. Thanks for the help.

You need (if its the same option number) Option H14-Digital ID display. It will xmit MDC1200, but you cannot decode any ID's without that option.

Pj,

Thanks. I am wondering if Motorola will sell me the flash upgrade for H14 for a Alpha Series radio. I wonder if anyone has ever attempted. Thanks again.

Contact your local full line Motorola Dealer. They are the ones you will need to go thru.
