99 chevy install

Post by fire_master_21 »

I am doing a install on a new truck I picked up dirt cheap thought I would make it my hunting truck. Any way I thought I would install a kenwood tk 730H and a cdm1250 uhf. Both units are remote mount, and the units will be behind the seats as this is a regular cab truck. As for hooking up the ground where should I go with it. I have heard up people using the bolts for the seats or should I go to the frame? I already have the antennas mounted in the roof. I did that yesterday. This is my first mobile install so any advise would be helpful. TIA.

I have used the seat bolts many times without any problem. This also saves the ground cable from corrosion from being out in the weather. I usually use the back ones in the middle so they don't get kicked, etc.
