More info, please:

Conventional FM or digital?

Do you get static if you open the squelch?
This is my opinion, not Aeroflex's.

I WILL NOT give you proprietary information. I make too much money to jeopardize my job.

functionally, the radio is 100%, except nothing on Rx.

this is in analog or mixed mode.

i do get static when the monitor is depressed (as expected)

troubleshooting in the book is a little wierd - drives you more towards the vocon b/c there is nothing in the chart indicating that transmit is a-ok....

i am leaning towards a bad RF board.

and - lucky me - there isn't squat in the tuner software for Rx - all Tx...

What radios do you own?: Motorola, GE

Could be the antenna RF switch PIN diodes, I would check those and any filters in the RX circuit. Try coupling and injecting a signal before the switch and filter circuits and see what you get. It's a good place to start...

Sounds like the VCO crosover setting is incorrect. Also look for the proper injection frequency with a spectrum analizer.
