Keyload question for you experts.
Whats the difference between a T3020BX and a T3020AX KVL?

Pretty much for any of the loaders, the later the revision, the more radios it can load keys to. I'm not sure the difference between the 3020AX and BX but CX has multikey and OTAR/shadow key capapbility. DX is needed for Astros and, I think, MTS2000's. Later revisions can do everything the previous revisison can and more. I'd recommend seeking the latest revision you can afford. Be aware that its possible to upgrade to newer models by means of an EPROM swap and (sometimes) and EEPROM upgrade.

Since you are post in the astro forum, I'm going to assume this is for an stro product

a 3020 is only good for des on a older radio, I have 2 holdign the top to my mouse colony cage down.

best bet is to save up and get a 3011dx, if you can afford it. Keep in mind you can also get a 3011ax/bx/cx and have it upgraded.

I HAVE USE MY KVL T3011CX TO LOAD THE ENCRYPTION DATA INTO MY ASTRO SABER II, BUT FAILED. FAIL CODE IS: ASN 12. (PLS ADVISE WHAT IS IT MEANS ?) WHAT SHOULD I DO TO CORRECT THE ERROR ?

BUT I FOUND THERE WAS NO PROBLEM IF I LOAD THE DATA INTO ANOTHER SABER III (NOT ASTRO) HT.

To load an Astro Saber you need at least a T3011DX. I'm afraid that a T3011CX just won't do it.

yes, if you change your CX to a DX via the upgrade method it will keyload astros.

there is a guy on ebay selling the upgrade chips on ebay for like 75.00..

I bought one pkg of chips (ha ha) from this guy and they worked flawlessly.I don't own astro anything, but i think i might wanna sell my SS3'S and go digi..this guys's emails are just a touch slow but he does ship fast and the goods work.I upgraded my kvl incase i went digi.. or if i go EX600 i can just sell the kvl..
