05 Ford Superduty - No power to Windows after install

Post by KB2ZTX »

Well I just finished up a install of 2 radio, scanner, siren and barlight for a friend of mine in his NEW (200 miles) Ford Superduty. Now the power windows and the am/fm radio will not work. If you bypass or jumper power to the PW circuit breaker they all work fine. This appears to me that there isn't a short, however if I measure the voltage coming into the fuse block, there is none on this CB.

In the fords they use a delayed ignition on these circuits.. Is there something I may have unplugged, or pulled apart while running wires ? Has anyone worked on these units ? HELP !

What radios do you own?: Radar Range

IS it possible that you could have shorted something and totally blew up the breaker? Or popped a fuse elsewhere in the line?

Tried new CB and checked the fuses in the block. There is also a new box under the hood in the 05 SD that I checked. I tried to track it down on my 04 and it appears both these circuits are definatley on the same power source. Guess I'll have to check some more spot. I know its not shorted as if I jumper power thru a 5 amp fuse everthing works fine.

I'm really not sure where this goes to the ignition block either. I'll have it back in the shop in the morning so i'll keep tracking it down.
