XTS 3000 III programming

Post by rick0001 »

Ok guys, I'm actually very ignorant about radios, so please be gentle.

My question is can a XTS 3000 UHF be programmed to include the whole range of UHF freqs?

The Xts3000 comes in UHF low (403-470) and UHF high (450-512). By following the info in the Model Specific - Astro Portables section on the main site for out of band hacks you can go about 15 mhz in either direction.

How far you can actually go before getting a FAIL 001 will depend on the individual radio so it might be more but it could be less.

On the other hand the Xts5000 comes in 380-470 MHz and 450-520 MHz. I cant wait to get my hands on one of them!

Hope that helps!
